About This Project

The stability of the excavated slope was of great importance to this project’s budget and time. We had to ensure a safe and functional design and the first and most crucial step was to use reliable input parameters while searching for possible failure modes at the preliminary design stage.

The heavy rainfalls and unpredictable behaviour of the excavated slope, brought out a hidden diagonal crack causing for a redesign with anchors to sustain the already harmed slope from landslides and debris failure.

The stability condition of cut slope subjected to circular and non-circular failures was analyzed using cutting edge technology software. According to the analysis results, prestressed cable anchors to hold the unstable part of the slope were put in place by transferring tensile forces to stable rock or soil.
