About This Project
This three-storey building hosts the offices of a company located in the region of Aspropyrgos, a western suburb, in the Athens metropolitan area.
Aspropyrgos has a high level of seismic activity, has had at least 15 quakes above magnitude 5.0 since 2000, and a 6.1 in 1999, which suggests that larger earthquakes are very possible.
The building is a reinforced concrete building with central shear wall cores and moment resisting frames with a capacity design – founded on a raft foundation.
