About This Project
This simple supported 75m bridge comprises of two flat trusses pratt type, with a roof to provide enclosure. The bridge serves as a motorway overpass transferring heavy crushed stones from the mine to the plant. The differential deflection of the bridge had to be taken carefully into consideration since there were two uneven heavy duty weight conveyor belts inside the bridge transporting crushed stones of different sizes.
Apart from that, the bridge truss elements were hot deep galvanized and that required to provide many splice joints that increased the self-weight of the structure.
